Bloody Bits seeks to enlighten, empower, and end the period stigma.
Many people are denied access to feminine hygiene products and education on a daily basis.
And as recent as 2018, only nine states in the U.S. let feminine hygiene products be tax-exempt.
People everywhere — at school, work, and even home — are shamed for this natural bodily occurrence.
Menstruation needs to be a socially acceptable thing to talk about and experience.
Bloody Bits is my manifestation of a solution.

A Few Notes
- The haiku you tweet will be randomly selected. Refresh the page to share a different one.
- Feel free to share haiku and images with #BloodyBits.
- I do not intend to alienate anyone or be insensitive with my word choices — I know transgender men menstruate too.
The language in my haiku is only to maintain integrity with my experience.
I'm open to feedback on making this more inclusive.
